The 2019 mockbuster Monster Island of The Asylum, ironically released at the same time Godzilla: King of the Monsters was, is about an Island called Monster Island where a monster could be discovered.


This movie is about an asylum. It has a budget that's about the same as a large kid's meal. (published here) The Asylum uses it well, focusing on just a few characters and keeping its biggest stars on one set, where they can all be shot during lunch. However, lest we forget this is the kaiju genre and, well, that is sort of how they go, so maybe The Asylum won't do such an awful job with it.
